All the towns were rebuilt: todas las ciudades fueron reconstruidas

Whole towns were rebuilt: ciudades enteras fueron reconstruidas.

Espero haber aclarado tu duda.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27105994.post-77623169145161395152012-11-29T01:00:12.360+01:002012-11-29T01:00:12.360+01:00Yo tenía entendido que no se podía utilizar "...Yo tenía entendido que no se podía utilizar "all the + noun", que las opciones correctas eran "all of the + noun" o simplemente "all + noun).
Por ejemplo, para decir "todo el mes":
Correcto: All of the month y/o All month

En cambio, en inglés decimos: Not all apples are red. Omitimos "the".

En cambio, si puedo decir:

THE apples over there are red.

Entonces, sí: THE sports that I like.

I have spent the whole winter skiing".

Roxanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05144684958466052983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27105994.post-5695635242263159122010-02-26T01:27:18.905+01:002010-02-26T01:27:18.905+01:00Hi Monica!!

I have a question regarding an execise from all and whole topic.
It is correct if I write

"I have spent skiing the whole winter" Instead of writing it the way you did so:

"I have spent the whole winter skiing"

And by the way, does "terrific" have a positive or negative
meaning? or it depends on the context?
Because I meant your blog is GREAT!!

Thank youUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12704252835797488423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27105994.post-15392091775549425982009-01-09T05:12:00.000+01:002009-01-09T05:12:00.000+01:00ESE Yes, they are synonymous words.
