Where did you go on holiday last year?
Simon and Greg are in a pub in London talking about last year’s holiday.
“So, where did you say you went for holiday last year?”- asked Greg.
“We went to Italy”, replied Simon.
“Was it nice?” asked Greg.
“It was incredible. We visited many places: Rome, Venice, Florence”, answered Simon.
“Was it expensive?” asked Greg
“Well, a little bit. Especially in Venice because we stayed at a nice hotel near Saint Mark’s Square”, replied Simon.
“But you were in Italy too, weren’t you?” asked Simon to Greg.
“Well, that was many years ago. Last year we went to Egypt”, said Greg.
“Did you like it?” asked Simon.
“Yes. It was fantastic! We had a great time though the weather was extremely hot”, replied Greg.
“What cities did you visit apart from Cairo?” asked Simon.
“We went to Luxor and Sharm El-sheik”, replied Greg.
“Wow! Sharm El-sheik, so you went diving”, cried Simon.
“Right. We went diving and in Luxor and we saw the Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, everything there was to see”, said Greg.
“That sounds great. What monument did you like the best?” asked Simon.
“It’s hard to say. I think the pyramids of Giza, near Cairo”, he said.
“And you, which Italian city did you like the best?” asked Greg.
“They are all great, but I think my favourite is Venice. We met some friends there and we had a lot of fun with them”, replied Simon.
“Did you arrange to meet them in Venice?” asked Greg.
“No, we didn’t. We met by chance right in a Café in Saint Mark’s Square”, replied Simon.
“What a coincidence!” said Greg.
“Yes, it was a great coincidence because they had some Italians friends who gave us a guided tour”, said Simon.
“Well, that was lucky”, said Greg.

Simon y Greg están en un pub en Londres hablando de las vacaciones del año pasado.

¿Te gustó? - le preguntó Simon.
Sí. ¡Fue fantástico! Nos lo pasamos muy bien aunque nos tocó un tiempo extremadamente caluroso - contestó Greg.
¿Qué ciudades visitasteis además de El Cairo? - preguntó Simon.
Estuvimos en Luxor y Sharm el Sheik - respondió Greg.
¡Vaya! Sharm el-Sheik, estuvisteis buceando - exclamó Simon.
Sí. Fuimos a bucear y en Luxor vimos el templo de Luxor, el templo de Karnak, el Valle de los Reyes, el Valle de las Reinas, todo lo que había que ver - dijo Greg.
Eso suena fenomenal. ¿Qué monumento te gustó más? - preguntó Simon.
Es difícil de decir. Creo que las pirámides de Giza, cerca de El Cairo - dijo Greg.
Y a ti, ¿qué ciudad italiana te gustó más? - preguntó Greg.
Todas son fantásticas, pero creo que mi favorita es Venecia. Nos encontramos con unos amigos allí y lo pasamos muy bien con ellos - respondió Simon.
¿Quedásteis con ellos en Venecia? - preguntó Greg.
No. Nos encontramos por casualidad, en un café en la plaza de San Marcos - respondió Simon.
¡Qué casualidad! - dijo Greg.
Sí, fue una gran coincidencia, ya que tenían unos amigos italianos que nos llevaron de visita turística por toda la ciudad - dijo Simon.
