They forgot our birthdays

Susan and Kathy were talking about their boyfriends.

‘You know, John forgot my birthday. He didn’t congratulate me last Thursday’, said Susan.

‘I can’t believe it. James forgot mine too. He bought some flowers for Alice when she came back from Canada but he didn’t buy anything for me on my birthday’, said Kathy.

-’John bought a new Ipad for himself and didn’t give anything to me’, added Susan.

‘James went out with his friends last week and didn’t even invite me to go with them’, said Kathy.

‘I think they both knew when our birthdays are, but they just didn’t want to buy us anything’, said Susan.

‘No. I don’t agree. I just think that men are more forgetful than women’, said Kathy.

‘But only for birthdays because John remembered he had an appointment with his friends at the bar yesterday’, said Susan.

‘True. James called me yesterday after I came back from work and told me he had made an appointment with Jessica and Bill to go to the movies’, said Kathy.

‘And he didn’t invite you?’ asked Susan.

‘No, I couldn’t go because I had to finish a report for my company’, replied Kathy.

‘Remember last year when we drove all the way to Florida? I think we should do the same this year’, said Susan.

‘Yes, we had such a good time with Rob and Peter. Do you remember that we went swimming and we drank lots of beer?’ said Kathy.

‘Yes, and we got very drunk. It was really funny’, said Susan.

‘And, remember when you fell off the horse?’ asked Kathy.

‘Ouch, that really hurt. Yeah. And you thought Peter was my cousin’, said Susan.

-’Let’s start planning our next holiday then’, said Kathy.

- ¿Y no te invitó?

- Entonces... Empecemos a planear nuestras vacaciones, dijo Kathy. Imprimir
