Unit 5 Level 3 (Upper intermediate- Advanced) First and Second Conditionals

First a note about the way grammarians call the conditionals.

Some authors distinguish four types of conditionals and other three types of conditionals.

When they talk about four types of condionals they either include in their classification 0 (zero) conditional as a separate group of conditionals or in the second conditional they distinguish two types of conditionals: imaginary and hypothetical.

But in this course we will study the conditionals in this order:

1) IF + SUBJECT + PRESENT TENSE + SUBJECT + WILL + VERB (INFINITIVE) (Imperative also included). Unit 5, level 3 of this course.

2) IF + SUBJECT + PAST TENSE + SUBJECT + WOULD + VERB (INFINITIVE) Unit 5 level 3 of this course.

3) IF + SUBJECT + PAST PERFECT + SUBJECT + WOULD + HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE OF THE MAIN VERB. Unit 6 level 3 of this course.

4) IF + SUBJECT + PRESENT TENSE + SUBJECT´+ PRESENT TENSE. Unit 6 level 3 of this course.
