Dame éso--->Give me that. [givmi dat]
No hables----> Don't speak.
Ejemplo 1: Please,
don't run. [plis don't ran] d
Por favor, no corras.Ejemplo 2: Don't talk to me like that. [don't tok tumi laikdat]
No me hables así. Ejemplo 3: Please, don't say anything. [plis don't sei anizing]
“not” (no don't). Para incluirme yo en la orden utilizamos
“let's” (let us).
Ejemplo 1: Let's
not do it.[lets notduIt]
No lo hagamosEjemplo 2: Let's
not think about it. [lets not zink abautIt]
No pensemos en ello. Ejemplo 3: Let's
not worry. [lets not guori]
No nos preocupemos.¿Has visto?
“not” . No negamos con don't/doesn't
Por ejemplo, cogemos cualquier verbo en infinitivo:
“to say” decir y ponemos el
“not” delante del verbo en infinitivo, es decir, delante de “to say”.
Ejemplo 1: It's good
not to say anything. [Its gud not tusei enizing]
Es bueno no decir nada.Ejemplo 2: It's important
not to make a mistake. [Its important nottumeik amisteik]
Es importante no cometer errores.Ejemplo 3:I told you not to worry. [ai toldiu nottuguori]
Te dije que no preocuparas.
|
Recuerda: Para negar con un verbo en infinitivo (to + raíz del verbo, por ejemplo, to work) ponemos not justo delante de “to”. Por ejemplo: “not to work”. |
not también. No negamos con
don't/doesn't. Seguimos, en realidad, la misma regla que utilizamos para negar con el verbo “to be”.
Veamos algunos ejemplos:
Ejemplo 1: The machine is not working. [de machin Isnot guorking]
La máquina no está funcionando.Ejemplo 2: She kept silent, not knowing what to say. [shi kep sailent, not nouing guat tu sei]
Se quedó callada, sin saber qué decir.Ejemplo 3: By not saying it, you don't help anybody. [bai not seingIt, iu dont help enibadi]
Si no lo dices, no ayudas a nadie.
|
Por ejemplo: “not working”. |
Veamos algunos ejemplos:
Ejemplo 1: She had no eyes. [shi had no ais]
Ella no tenía ojos.Ejemplo 2: This is no joke.[dis is nou chouk]
Esto no es una broma.Ejemplo 3: I have no interest. [ai hav no interest]
No tengo interés. Por ejemplo: She didn't have eyes. This isn't a joke. I'm not interested (adjetivo).
|
Recuerda: Podemos negar un sustantivo anteponiendo un “no”. Por ejemplo: I have no idea. No tengo ni idea. |
“Without” saying anything. [wizout seing enizing]Sin decir nada. With no intention. [wiz no intenshion] Sin intención.
